My First Blog Post on the Last Day of 2024

As 2024 reaches its final day, I’ve decided to end the year with a milestone I’ve been procrastinating for far too long: launching my website and writing my first blog post.

Ta-da! Here it is! My shiny new website is live, and this blog marks the official beginning of my journey as a digital marketing agency owner.

But before I dive into what’s ahead, let me share how I got here.

I’m proud to say I created my website myself—and trust me, it was no small feat. It’s part of a digital marketing course I’m enrolled in (a course that’s taking way longer than expected to complete). Building this website was an assignment—one I procrastinated on for two reasons:

1. I’m not exactly tech-savvy. The thought of tinkering with web design intimidated me.
2. It’s not my focus. My agency’s offerings don’t include website building; I’ll gladly refer clients to the talented web designer who created my artist website, which you can check out here: https://mariaankotzeart.co.za/

Despite my reluctance, I was determined to take on this challenge. I saw it as an opportunity to stretch myself, step out of my comfort zone, and better understand how websites work from the inside out.

My creation is far from perfect—I’ll let my web designer finesse it later—but for now, I’m celebrating its imperfect charm.
